The Flinn Foundation Gallery & Art Program
Where Art, Science, and Leadership Converge
Rotating Exhibitions & Outreach Programs
At the intersection of creativity, innovation, and leadership, the Flinn Foundation and Art State Arizona have forged a partnership that demonstrates the transformative power of the arts. Together, we are advancing a vision where art is not simply decoration but a driving force for innovation, economic vitality, and civic leadership.
Through this collaboration, the Flinn Foundation’s Phoenix headquarters has become far more than a workplace—it is now a dynamic cultural hub. The rotating gallery exhibitions curated by Art State Arizona feature local artists whose work reflects the creativity, resilience, and diversity of Arizona’s communities. Each exhibition is a living expression of the Foundation’s mission to improve quality of life, connecting art and the creative process to the work of advancing bioscience, strengthening civic leadership, and cultivating Arizona’s cultural vitality.

More Than Just A Gallery
The Flinn Foundation Gallery is not a single program—it is the centerpiece of a business and arts integration model that unites cultural expression with organizational innovation. Through art installations, special programs, and interactive experiences, the gallery brings together employees, artists, leaders, and the community.
Special Exhibitions connect art and science, creating new pathways for dialogue and discovery.
The Flinn Scholars Journey is amplified through creative storytelling, art, and cross-disciplinary programs that reflect the power of education and imagination.
The Flinn-Brown Fellowship Project is being brought to life in an upcoming children’s book created by authors and illustrators, showcasing the personal journeys of scholars across the state and inspiring future generations through leadership and storytelling.
This program is about digging deeper—bridging art with science, culture with business, and creativity with civic leadership. It is a model for how arts integration can serve as the foundation for innovation in every sector.
Why It Matters
Exhibitions rotate and are each site specific programs. Each opening hosts a community reception and opportunities to engage directly with artists, scholars, and thought leaders. These events bring together the voices of science, culture, and civic leadership, creating dialogue that inspires action and innovation.
The partnership between the Flinn Foundation and Art State Arizona embodies the belief that the arts are essential to everyday life. By embedding creativity into the core of an institution dedicated to bioscience, education, and civic leadership, the gallery stands as proof that art is not separate from progress—it is the catalyst that drives it.

Arizona’s Five C’s: Past, Present and What Comes Next
An Arizona America250 Exhibition
Civics | Creativity | Community | Cultural Diversity | Conservation
As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary in 2026, Arizona takes this moment to reflect on who we have been and whom we are becoming. This exhibition is part of Arizona America250, a statewide initiative marking the nation’s Semiquincentennial while uplifting Arizona’s unique identity, voices, and contributions. Through this open-call exhibition, artists were invited to explore Arizona’s historic Five C’s—Copper, Cattle, Cotton, Citrus, and Climate —the industries and forces that shaped the state’s early economy, landscape, and growth.
Artists were also asked to look forward and imagine five new C’s for Arizona’s future: Civics, Creativity, Community, Cultural Diversity, and Conservation. Together, these works reflect Arizona as both place and promise, examining history through contemporary lenses while offering bold, inclusive visions for what comes next. The exhibition highlights how art can connect past and future, honoring legacy while inspiring civic imagination, shared responsibility, and creative possibility.
On display February 2026 – June 2026.
Arizona America250 is dedicated to commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States by telling Arizona’s story—past, present, and future. The initiative uplifts the voices of all Arizonans, celebrates innovation and independence, preserves history, and builds lasting connections across communities statewide. www.america250az.org

Art of Achievement: Celebrating 40 Years of Flinn Scholars
The Flinn Foundation and Art State Arizona proudly present Art of Achievement: Celebrating 40 Years of Flinn Scholars—an extraordinary exhibition that bridges academic excellence with artistic expression, and celebrates the transformative power of creativity in shaping Arizona’s future.
For four decades, the Flinn Scholars Program has invested in Arizona’s brightest young minds, cultivating leadership, innovation, and service that strengthen the state. In partnership with Art State Arizona, whose mission is to make the arts essential to everyday life and integrate creativity across all sectors, this landmark exhibition reimagines achievement through the lens of art. By pairing scholars with Arizona’s talented artists, the project results in one-of-a-kind works that interpret personal journeys, milestones, and aspirations. Each piece becomes a fusion of intellect and imagination, celebrating not just individual success but the spirit of collaboration that fuels progress.
The exhibition also features compelling narratives and portraits of both scholars and artists, offering visitors a deeper understanding of how creativity and leadership intersect to drive change. It is a showcase of the Flinn Foundation’s mission to improve the quality of life in Arizona—through bioscience, education, civic leadership, and the arts—while uplifting the artistic community that brings these values to life.
More than a gallery, Art of Achievement is a living testament to the belief that art and innovation are inseparable foundations of a thriving society.
